From the victory of Tour Down Under to the establishment of a remarkable partnership with TAG Heuer, the BMC Racing Team has perfectly kicked off its 2017 season prelude. The new season ushers in new beginnings and goals. However, after a period of rest and preparation, we often feel that our condition has not fully recovered. Successfully opening the situation is not easy, but the BMC racing team did it in the Tour of Australia. Here’s how this elite cycling team kicked off the season perfectly.
Targeting important events …
For the past 18 years, the cycling season has started from the Tour of Australia. This stage is around Adelaide, which is very suitable to start the season. The terrain is diverse, with some stages facilitating rapid sprints, while others take place in the hilly Willanga. The path is very tortuous and all participants are under extreme pressure. Such a track requires teamwork, and the main teams in the UCI field cannot be ignored. This year, as always, top teams have participated in the race, from Sky, Movistar to the BMC Racing Team. Several star cyclists also struggled for the ultimate victory, from Rohan Dennis to Gorka Izaguirre, and world champion Peter Sagan.
… to win …
Experts gathered, only one champion. In 2017, the great winner was Richie Porte. The Australian driver from the BMC Racing team is racing at home. Facing a lot of opponents, the captain of the American team knew to avoid the trap and won the second stage with the precise cooperation of his teammates. After winning a single at the top of the Palogan Coast, he has reached the throne … but he does not intend to slack off. On Saturday, he continued to win stage 5. As the ultimate winner, he finally won in last year’s defeat.
… to the next level
It is true that the season has just begun. In other races in the next few weeks, the BMC racing team should continue to play triumphant. But this does not prevent people from celebrating the success of the early 2017 season. On Friday, team drivers Rohan Dennis and Miles Scotson appeared on the rooftop of the Adelaide Hilton with about 80 VIPs and guests. Together they celebrated the team’s partnership with TAG Heuer. They used the simulator for the TAG Heuer speed challenge and proved their resistance to stress. They also signed on the TAG Heuer BMC Teammachine SLR01 Dura Ace bike, which will soon be shared on the TAG Heuer Facebook page. Like the BMC Racing Team, you can make a big start.
