Basel Watch & Jewellery Show 2016 has been opened, and each exhibition is a feast for people. Longines, famous for its elegance, also participated in this exhibition and presented a variety of exquisite timepieces. Let’s enjoy this rider’s series watch which shows Longines’ passion for equestrianism.
Adhering to the enduring enthusiasm for equestrian sports and the concern for women watch lovers, the Longines Riding Series has added new watches. Inspired by the harness of the exclusive Francis mountain horse of Switzerland, this new style is inspired by the rectangular buckle on the stable. While continuing the elegant tradition of Longines, it also contains the brand’s equestrian sport. Extraordinary enthusiasm.
Longines has a long history with equestrian sport for more than a century. To pay tribute to this enduring enthusiasm, the Longines riders series came into being. Many of the models in this collection are inextricably linked to equestrianism. Their shapes and materials are inspired by the iconic elements of equestrian sports, designed to evoke a deep resonance of equestrian lovers, and to pay tribute to the elegant charm of riders and horses.
Today, the Longines Riders collection is adding new work. Inspired by the harness of the exclusive Swiss horse Franche, the new watch is designed with a rectangular case, which reproduces the rectangular lines of the stirrup. The Franche-Horse originated from the historic Swiss Jura Mountains, and Longines was born in this region, and has become one of the many outstanding watch manufacturers. The new watch fully extends the distinctive characteristics of the Kashi series, and is specially created for ladies who love equestrian sports. The pointer dances with the melody of time and the horse’s leaping steps on their wrists. Longines presents the brand’s sincere enthusiasm for equestrian sports with the Riding Series, and pays tribute to the deep friendship between the two.
